WATSONTOWN – No crime, no charges, there was no neglect…that’s the word from Watsontown police who say accusations of abuse and neglect against a nursing home–are unfounded. Police say a family member of a 76-year-old resident at Watsontown Health and Rehabilitation reported the resident was assaulted. After a multi-agency investigation, police and the Northumberland County District Attorney’s office found the charges were not sustained and say they will not be prosecuted. In a statement, Watsontown police say the allegations made by the family member were inaccurate and not based on credible medical diagnosis.
